At TAMU will be 3 30 pm – 4 pm and UT Austin will be 6 to 6 30 pm. Timing is approximate and will vary depending on traffic and weather conditions that day. We will keep the group informed via WhatsApp about the progress each week to give you a more exact time.

How do you ensure food safety?

We do the following for food safety.

  1. Food packages stored individually to avoid cross contamination
  2. Temperature controlled storage in insulated bags to avoid spoilage

What are the Bag Sizes? Who purchases the bags?

  1. The Regular Bag is  13x12x7 (HxWxD) inches
  2. The Large Bag is  15x13.25x9.5 (HxWxD) inches

Both bags are insulated and provided at time of drop off to store the food for the journey. The Regular bag carries 3-4 meals while the large back carries 5-8 meals.

Additionally, it is important to note that Regular bag can carry small non-food items like chargers / a book etc. but won't be enough to carry a large laptop or more than 2 books.

Can we send non-food items?

Yes, understand that you will need to send books / medicines / electronics from time to time and allow that. We require these items be packed separately from the food and fit into the bag size provided as per your plan.

Do we use glass or plastic containers to pack the food?

We DO NOT allow glass containers. This is mainly for safety reasons. Here are links to recommended food storage containers that have been tested for spillage reduction. There is NO service for returning food containers so we recommend disposable containers.
